Keke Wyatt is back. The seasoned vocalist has shared “Water Into Wine” via Shanachie Entertainment.
“Water Into Wine” is a song of patience, narrated by a woman who understands her partner’s imperfections and occasional romantic blunders. Despite this, she is willing to stay committed to the relationship as long as he demonstrates his sincere effort to make things work between them.
Wyatt has limits and accepts that she cannot magically make her partner do the right thing.
As mentioned above, “Water Into Wine” is Wyatt’s first song since signing to Shanachie Entertainment. She inked the deal in late January, announcing her plans to release a new album later this year.
Of the deal, Wyatt stated, “I really feel good about signing with Shanachie! I’m excited and finally ready. I feel like this time we will create magic together and make HISTORY!”
In that same announcement, Wyatt shared what fans expect from the new album, which remains untitled. “I want to give my fans the gift of love, hope and trust with my new music. However, don’t get it twisted because I’m singing about it all. I think everyone will be able to relate to this album,” shared Wyatt.
Wyatt’s next album will mark her first original album in seven years. Rated Love arrived in 2016 and featured the single “Sexy Love.” The latter track peaked at No. 26 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Later, in 2016, Wyatt reissued Rated Love as an expanded edition with three bonus tracks.
One year later, Keke Wyatt released Keke Covers, a collection of her versions of modern and classic songs such as Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Rose Royce’s “I’m Goin’ Down.”
Wyatt will perform before Jagged Edge at the Dell Music Center in Philadelphia on Aug. 31. She will then headline a show on Sept. 23 in Baltimore. For more ticket information, visit ticketmaster.com.
