Brandy to Perform at 97th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

En Vogue, Bell Biv DeVoe and more are also set to perform.

NBC has announced the lineup of performers for the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The annual event will air on Thursday, Nov. 23, starting at 8:30 a.m. ET, which will be half an hour longer than in previous years. It will be simulcast on Peacock and encored at 2 p.m. ET.

Grammy winner Brandy is among the acts booked to perform at the 97th edition of the parade. She will sing on Palace of Sweets by Brach’s®, one of the four new floats among 26.

“I can’t wait to perform at the @Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade!” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Prior to her parade performance, Brandy will release her first holiday collection, Christmas With Brandy, on Nov. 10 via Motown Records. The first single, “Christmas Party For Two,” arrives on Nov. 3.

She also is set to star in Netflix’s original holiday film, Best. Christmas. Ever! on Nov. 16.

The Macy’s Parade will host performances by En Vogue, Jon Batiste, and Bell Biv DeVoe. The latter R&B group Nickelodeon & Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem float, one of four new floats.

En Vogue will spread holiday cheer through song on the returning Colossal Wave Of Wonder float by Kalahari Resorts and Conventions.

Others on the bill include Cher, David Foster and Katharine McPhee, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Ashley Park with the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street and more.

Regarding the Emmy-winning celebration, Jen Neal, NBCUniversal Media Group’s executive vice president of live events and specials, shares, “There’s nothing quite like the pageantry of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to both bring families together and welcome in the holiday season. We’re truly proud and honored to be the home of such an iconic event that so many people look forward to watching with their friends and loved ones.”

Will Coss, executive producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, adds, “For nearly 100 years, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been synonymous with the beginning of the holiday season, celebration and togetherness.

Coss continues, “Our talented team of Macy’s Studios artisans and production specialists work year-round to deliver the nation’s most beloved holiday event, live on Thanksgiving morning. We are proud to hold this responsibility and look forward to sharing our unbelievable designs, larger-than-life character balloons and first-class entertainment, all sure to create lifelong memories for Parade fans nationwide.”

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be co-hosted by TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker. The parade route runs from Manhattan’s Upper West Side to Macy’s Herald Square flagship.
