Ne-Yo has teamed up with rapper Fabolous for his “Link Up (Remix).” The track was co-written by Arin Ray and Eric Bellinger.

The updated version retains the original production and lyrics, while Fabolous adds his signature flow. He raps about having everything, from drinks to weed, to make his boo thang comfortable.

Fabolous suggests she, “send them other boys to the link in your bio,” to avoid getting the run around like other men.

Ne-Yo and Fabolous have a long history of collaborating on music. It all started back in 2007 when Ne-Yo featured on “Make Me Better,” a No. 1 single from Fabolous’ album From Nothin’ to Somethin’.

In return, Fabolous appeared on the official remix of Ne-Yo’s “She Got Her Own,” which was originally released on Jamie Foxx’s Intuition and Ne-Yo’s Year of a Gentleman albums. It peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.

The duo also worked together on other tracks such as “Makin Love” (Fabolous featuring Ne-Yo, Loso’s Way) and “Should Be You” (Ne-Yo featuring Fabolous and Diddy, R.E.D. – Deluxe Edition).

Circling back to “Link Up (Remix),” Ne-Yo released the original version and the official video on Sept. 29 through Motown Records/Compound Entertainment.

The song features a sample from Michael Wycoff’s 1980s classic “Looking Up to You” and has been streamed more than 1.3 million times on Spotify.

The official video has also been viewed over 1.1 million times on YouTube.

“Link Up” has been well received by listeners and debuted at No. 28 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, marking Ne-Yo’s 27th entry on this chart. At the time of publication, it has climbed to No. 16.

Additionally, the song ranks at No. 16 on R&B radio and has an audience of over 2.8 million listeners. The track was produced by Hitmaka, Cardiak and Wu10.

“Link Up” is Ne-Yo’s first proper single since his 2022 album, Self-Explanatory. The LP featured his hit single “U 2 Luv” featuring Jeremih, which spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart in 2020.

Ne-Yo has concerts scheduled with Robin Thicke on Nov. 26 in Hollywood, Florida, and with Thicke, T-Pain, Mario, and others on Dec. 1 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
