Jon B. has released a video for his new single “Waiting On You” featuring Tank.
Directed by Tragic Vision, the video captures the time before Jon B. and a future lover make a connection.
“‘Waiting on You’ describes the feeling of anticipating love in your life, the seasons of waiting,” Jon B. explained.
He added, “No matter the timing, even when it seems like it’s taking forever, you have to be patient for your partner in life. Not giving up makes it all worth the wait.”
Jon B. co-wrote and co-produced the song with Tank, whom he worked with on the title track of his 2004 album, Stronger Everyday.
“Waiting On You” is the title track from Jon. B’s forthcoming album, due Feb. 23. It will mark his first album since 2012’s Comfortable Swagg.
In addition to Tank, Waiting On You will include features from Donell Jones (“Understand“), Alex Isley and Rick Ross.
On May 4, Jon B. will perform at the Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. He joins an all-star lineup that includes Janet Jackson, Usher, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Brandy, Monica, Ciara, Keyshia Cole and many more.
Before Lovers & Friends, he has upcoming shows in San Diego, New York, Honolulu and more. A list of tour dates is available on Jon. B’s official website.
