Keyshia Cole has scored a new Billboard entry. Her song “No Love Lost” opens at No. 28 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart (dated Feb. 3).
It’s the Grammy-nominated singer’s 18th entry on the chart, currently led by Mary J. Blige’s “Still Believe in Love.” Cole’s previous appearance on the list was in February 2021 with “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love.” The song peaked at No. 11 in June of that year.
At R&B radio, the breakup anthem moves from No. 35 to No. 25 this week.
“No Love Lost,” which includes production by Timbaland and Ron Fair, appears on The Color Purple soundtrack.
The star-studded project also features Usher, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Fantasia, Jorja Smith, Coco Jones and more.
The Color Purple (Music From and Inspired By) was released Dec. 15 via gamma, Warner Bros. Pictures and WaterTower Music.
“I am so immensely proud that the filmmakers and Warner Bros. Pictures chose us to collaborate on a hugely cultural album that musically brings to life this reimagined classic,” said gamma’s Founder/CEO Larry Jackson.
“The Color Purple, in its many iterations, is unquestionably hallowed ground in black culture. Just as film director Blitz Bazawule has done a spectacular job in taking the film to another level artistically, we, too, wanted to bring an equally adventurous, creative take to this expanded soundtrack.”
On the same day as the soundtrack’s release, Cole also appeared on Nicki Minaj’s song “Love Me Enough” with Monica. The song was released as part of Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 (Gag City Deluxe) edition.
Speaking of cities, Cole is headlining The Love Hard Tour with Trey Songz, K. Michelle and Jaheim.
The tour, powered by the Black Promoters Collective, begins Feb. 22 in Macon, Georgia. From there, the R&B singers will perform across the U.S., before concluding April 14 in Southaven, Mississippi.
On May 4, Cole will perform at the Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Janet Jackson, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and many more are also on the bill.
