Trevor Jackson finds himself in a sticky situation in his new song “Heads Up.”
On the self-penned track, Jackson is in the mood to spend time in the sheets with his sneaky link; however, she’s tied up with her man and can’t pencil him in.
“She said tonight I’m at my man’s house / She said tonight can’t let you d**k me down / she said tonight I’m at my man’s house / Give me the heads up next time you in town,” Jackson croons in the chorus.
“Heads Up” arrives with an Usher-inspired video directed by Jackson and Zev York. KaMillion (Rap Sh!t) co-stars as Jackson’s paramour.

“Heads Up” is the follow-up to Jackson’s “James Dean,” released in January.
“‘James Dean’ was a reflection on how far we’ve come from the country roads and cornfields of Indiana,” Jackson exclusively told Rated R&B. “[It’s] a badge to self that represents all of the challenges that had to be overcome to get to where I am now. With all of the good and the not-so-great, no matter how many experiences we have in between, it’ll always come back to my roots.”
Both songs will appear on Jackson’s forthcoming EP, due later this year. It will mark his first project since 2022’s Show Me Diamonds.
