Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit returns Mother’s Day weekend (May 10-12), this time in New York City.
The three-day affair will feature live music, comedy, women empowerment sessions, keynote speakers and much more.
On Friday, May 10, Tiffany Haddish will headline a comedy show at the historic Apollo Theater. Don’t Call Me White Girl and Paris Sashay are also on the bill.
For those who prefer to be entertained by music, Robert Glasper is hosting two shows that evening at Blue Note Jazz Club. The first show is at 8 p.m. and the second is at 10:30 p.m.
Blige will take center stage at Barclays Center on Saturday night. The concert will feature supporting performances by Jill Scott, Muni Long, 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Fat Joe and Lola Brooke.
Before the concert, legendary radio personality Angie Martinez will host the Strength of a Woman Summit at The Glasshouse. It will include “inspiring programming, pivotal panels, keynote speakers, workshops, and much more.”
On day three, there will be a Mother’s Day brunch with Blige at Brooklyn Chop House and a gospel concert with The Clark Sisters at Brooklyn Paramount.
“I’m so excited to bring our Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit to my hometown, New York City, a place that has always been a huge source of inspiration for me,” says Blige.

Presale tickets for the Strength of a Woman Festival are available now through Thursday, March 7, with the code: STRENGTH. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, March 10, at 10 a.m. local.
Blige launched her Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit in 2022 in Atlanta. Last year’s sold-out event, also held in Atlanta, featured performances by Summer Walker, Lucky Daye, Coco Jones and more.
