Emerging singer ASTN has released his new single, “The Makeup Song,” which he co-produced with Jake Melvin.
On the self-penned track, ASTN addresses some blemishes within his relationship.
Speaking on “The Makeup Song,” ASTN notes, “Going through rough patches in a relationship is inevitable, and sometimes it’s easier to give up than it is to make up. But what matters most is how you grow together and learn from those hard conversations.
ASTN adds, “Being able to communicate and put differences aside to work towards a common goal of loving one another is what this song is all about.”
“The Makeup Song” is the follow-up to ASTN’s “Soul, Body & Mind,” which was released in April. Both songs will appear on ASTN’s upcoming EP, What A Night To Be In Love, which is set to arrive this summer.
ASTN’s forthcoming project will follow 2023’s Where Do We Go From Here? “I didn’t fully understand it at the time, but I was basically journaling my healing process with the EP,” ASTN told Rated R&B. “It has been so long since I’ve been connected to my music in this way and it’s the first time I feel I’ve been truly honest in sharing all the different sides that make me who I am. I can’t wait to see how other people can connect it with their own experiences and perspectives.”
