Maxwell has announced his 2025 Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite Cruise.
His second annual cruise will sail on the Norwegian Pearl from Feb. 14 through Feb. 19, 2025. The five-night voyage will make stops at George Town in the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios in Jamaica.
Passengers will be treated to two exclusive performances by Maxwell. He will be joined by special guests Anthony Hamilton with Ton3s, Marsha Ambrosius, Lalah Hathaway, Avery*Sunshine, Terrace Martin, Tye Tribbett, Third World, Yellowman, Sharon Marley, and others.
In addition to concerts, Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite Cruise will feature DJ sets, cuisine, and more experiences, making it a nice option for a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway. DJs and chefs for the cruise will be unveiled at a later date.
According to the cruise’s official website, cabin sales open Friday, June 28, at noon ET.
Maxwell’s inaugural Urban Hang Suite Cruise on the Norwegian Pearl sailed from Feb. 10-14, with stops in Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau, Bahamas.
The cruise featured performances by Robert Glasper, Musiq Soulchild, Ledisi, Sabrina Claudio, Leela James, and Gallant.
Before Maxwell’s 2025 cruise, he will launch The Serenade Tour with special guests Jazmine Sullivan and October London. The tour begins Sept. 14 in Hollywood, Florida, at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.
From there, the trio of singers will visit Tampa, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and New Orleans, among other cities. The tour concludes Oct. 27 in Los Angeles, California, at Kia Forum.
In music news, it’s been nearly three years since Maxwell released his single “OFF,” which is expected to appear on his highly awaited album, blacksummers’NIGHT. The sensual track peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart in March 2022.
NIGHT will mark the final installment of his trilogy, which he launched in July 2009. The second installment, blackSUMMERS’night, was released in July 2016. At this time, there are no concrete details on when NIGHT arrive. It was originally scheduled to release in 2019, with “Shame” as the lead single.
