Rising R&B singer RINI has returned with his new single “Matter to You.”
On the self-produced track, RINI channels his inner Prince as he pleads for his partner to extend grace for his shortcomings.
“My love, all I need is another chance / Another chance, oh-oh, oh / All my mistakes, the time I misplaced / I’ll get it back,” he sings over soul-stirring instrumentation.
Speaking on “Matter to You,” RINI shares, “We often get caught up in the many demands of today’s world, losing sight of the small joys that truly bring us happiness. As an artist pursuing a dream that requires so much time and attention, I find this especially true. Striving to balance my passion with the rest of life is a lifelong lesson.”
“Matter to You” follows the Australian singer’s breakup song “Miracle,” released in May.
“‘Miracle’ is one of those songs that makes you feel happy and sad at the same time. With production that makes you wanna dance paired with melodies and lyrics that hit you in the feels, tears are definitely coming down the dance floor,” he explained.
He continued, “It’s a song about letting go of someone for the better; sometimes it’s just the only option left, or you can wait for a miracle.”
Last year, RINI released his Bibi Bourelly-assisted single “My Luv,” his first taste of new music since his 2022 EP, Ultraviolet.
Regarding the EP, RINI told Rated R&B, “It’s bolder, more upfront and a more dauntless version of RINI that translates into the sound of the EP. I’ve taken a different approach sonically, and I could say that I’m taking a risk with some of the songs simply because it’s different from the usual vibe that you would expect to hear from me, but that’s really the whole point of it. Ultraviolet is the product of this.”
RINI released his debut album, Constellations, in 2022.
