Alicia Keys has achieved a new award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Her 2007 single “No One” has been certified diamond by the RIAA, selling over 10 million equivalent units.
It marks Keys’ first diamond-selling single as a lead artist and second overall. In July, she received her first diamond award for “Empire State of Mind,” her 2009 collaboration with Jay-Z.
Speaking on her latest certification, Keys states, “A song that is there for us when we need it most. Singing this song, together, all over the world is magical each and every time.”
She continues, “Thank you for loving ‘No One’ the way you do! Keep singing at the top of your lungs! We’re diamond status babbyyyyy!”

“No One” was the lead single from Keys’ third album, As I Am, which is certified 4x platinum.
Keys previously revealed the song almost didn’t make the cut. “‘No One’ almost didn’t make the album, it was the last song written. It felt like magic in the room that night,” she posted on Twitter in 2019.
The love-filled track, which Keys produced with Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“No One” scored Keys two awards at the 50th Grammy Awards: Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song.
On Spotify, “No One” has garnered over 879 million streams. Meanwhile, the official music video on YouTube has 807 million views.
In 2014, the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin released a reggae-inspired cover of “No One” from her album Aretha Franklin Sings The Great Diva Classics.
As Keys enjoys her two diamond plaques, her 2012 hit “Girl on Fire” is on track to being her third award. In 2023, the invigorating anthem was certified 7x platinum with over seven million equivalent units sold.
In other news, Keys joined Sam Smith on a special version of their 2014 single “I’m Not The Only One.” The duet appears on Smith’s In The Lonely Hour (10th Anniversary Edition).
“I LOVED working on this with Sam and for such a special moment! It’s been on both of our wishlists! The vibe was super intimate. We recorded it at my studio in New York,” said Keys.
“My son Egypt played Sam some keys and my son Genesis was telling jokes the whole time. Pure music, singing in the room together while I was playing piano.”
