Marsha Ambrosius’ sultry, lounge-style single “One Night Stand” rises from No. 3 to No. 1 at R&B radio this week.
Per Mediabase, the Dr. Dre-produced track has received 2,107 spins, a gain of 274, for an audience impression of 7.2 million.
On Billboard, “One Night Stand” remains at No. 2 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, led by Chris Brown’s “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay.
“One Night Stand” appears on Ambrosius’ fourth album, Casablanco, released on June 28 via Aftermath/Interscope Records.
The project, produced and mixed by Dr. Dre, also includes “The Greatest,” the lead single released in late 2023.

In an interview with Rated R&B, Ambrosius discussed the decision to release “The Greatest” as the first single.
“We got the offer to the song for the Heisman Trophy for ESPN. They wanted a song that was symbolic of a champion. I was like, ‘Oh, ‘The Greatest’ makes sense,'” Ambrosius shared.
She continued, “For it to be the first listen from Casablanco, it was so inconspicuous, as it pertains to the rest of the album, but it still teased what we were going to be doing conceptually. So, yeas, still very much dramatic. It’s giving 007 vibes. I felt that in the studio. It was very theatrical. It’s Perry Mason. It made sense in the grand scheme of things for that to be the teaser.”
Casablanco is the follow-up to Ambrosius’ 2018 album Nyla, which was listed among the Best R&B Albums of the year by Rated R&B.

When asked about the message she wants fans to take away from Casablanco, Ambrosius told Rated R&B, “This was for us, by us. This is the most Dr. Dre [and] Marsha Ambrosius album there could have ever been. If we could take music in one and give it to the world, that’s what I feel like we’ve done.”
She concluded, “It’s much yours as it is ours. We did this for all the music that we cared about and put it on one thing to just take it, breathe it in, and then transport you to the world of Casablanco, wherever you see that when you press play.”
