The lineup for the 2024 ONE Musicfest has been unveiled. The two-day event, founded by Jason “J” Carter, returns to Piedmont Park in Atlanta on Saturday, Oct. 26, and Sunday, Oct. 27.
The genre-blending festival will feature performances by R&B, hip-hop, gospel, and country acts.
Jill Scott, Victoria Monét, and Earth, Wind & Fire are at the top of the bill for R&B fanatics. There will be additional performances by Dru Hill, Monica, Keyshia Cole, Fantasia, Jeremih, Leon Thomas, Fridayy, and Destin Conrad, among others.
“This will be the craziest R&B lineup we’ve had — so heavy on the vibes this year,” Carter exclusively tells Rated R&B. “It’s definitely going be for R&B lovers. It’s going to be a moment. It’s going to be a lot of vibes this year for the R&B heads.”
Cardi B and Gunna are the headliners among rap acts. They will be joined by fellow rappers Nelly, T.I., Method Man and Redman, Sexyy Red, GloRilla, and BossMan Dlow, to name a few.
Gospel singer Koryn Hawthorne and rising country star Tanner Adell will also take the stage. Adell is featured on “Blackbiird” from Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter.
Tickets for the two-day event are on sale now and include the following packages: General Admission (starting at $179), General Admission Plus (starting at $299), VIP ($525), Platinum ($1,425), and Titanium ($5,500).
This year marks the 15th anniversary of ONE Musicfest. When asked about the festival’s theme, J. Carter tells Rated R&B, “The theme has always been unity through music, so it’s just more of that. You’ll see the bridge between the young and the more seasoned [artists].”
He continues, “I think we’ll have a few things on the lineup this year that will be some definite ‘Oh s**t’ moments. Like, ‘Oh, wow, didn’t expect to see that one.’ I think there’ll be a few artists that people will be like, ‘I knew y’all was going to have them,’ but I think there’ll be a good handful of, ‘I had no idea y’all was going to go in that direction.'”
J. Carter also hints at some surprises at ONE Musicfest. “[We’re] curating some pop-up moments that won’t really be advertised that will happen. There will be some things that won’t be advertised, kind of like J. Cole popping out with Janet [Jackson] last year, where if you’re not there, you’re just going to miss it. We have probably a good four or five surprise and delight moments, but you just got to pull up to see what it’s going be.”
The 2023 ONE Musicfest was headlined by Janet Jackson and Kendrick Lamar, with additional performances by Brent Faiyaz, Bryson Tiller, Coco Jones, El DeBarge, Megan Thee Stallion, and more. According to the festival’s organizers, the event attracted over 100,000 attendees.
At last year’s event, ONE Musicfest donated $65,000 to Morris Brown College and FAMU, two historically black colleges.
