Destin Conrad needs a tissue to wipe away his emotions. On his new song, “Nosebleed,” the rising R&B sensation struggles to allow his feelings to be put on full display.
“Nosebleed / It’s so me / It’s getting even harder to hide / And it reminds me of the old me / So lonely / All this looking up is blowing my high,” he coos over a soft acoustic guitar.
Conrad co-wrote the vulnerable ballad with Mack Keane and Astyn Turr, who co-produced it with Louie Lastic.
Regarding “Nosebleed,” Conrad tells Rated R&B, “This song is about hiding your emotions and being embarrassed when you can’t hide them. Emotions are like a nosebleed because they’re all over your face.”
According to an Instagram comment by Conrad, “Nosebleed” is “just a song,” meaning it’s a standalone track and not an official single. It is enough to tide over fans while he works on his next album, which he said is coming soon.

Although “Nosebleed” isn’t an official single, it seems to serve as a transition into his next era. In January, he released SUBMISSIVE2, a sequel to his 2023 album, SUBMISSIVE. The former project includes his Alex Isley-assisted duet “Same Mistake,” which has nearly nine million streams on Spotify.
Conrad supported his latest album on his headlining SUBMISSIVE Tour with special guest Amaria. Since concluding his tour earlier this spring, the SATIN singer has collaborated with British singer Sasha Keable (“Auction”), Kehlani (“Form of You” from their While We Wait 2 mixtape), and Jean Deaux (“Thinkin” from her nowhere, fast EP).
On Nov. 12, Conrad performed at Spotify’s RNB X After Hours showcase at the historic Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. Bryson Tiller and Normani headlined the show, which featured additional performances by Leon Thomas and Ambré.
