The Way It Is was released June 21, 2005, via A&M/Interscope. The album included Cole’s signature hit “Love,” as well as “I Changed My Mind,” co-written by Alicia Keys, “(I Just Want It) To Be Over,” co-written by John Legend, and “I Should’ve Cheated.”

“I’m so grateful to be celebrating The Way It Is 20 years later with the fans who have been with me since day one,” says Cole. “This album changed my life, and being able to take it on the road — from city to city, country to country — is truly a full circle moment, and blessing.”

To further celebrate the album’s milestone anniversary, Cole will reissue The Way It Is on vinyl. The 2LP vinyl will be available in a limited edition rose garden colorway ($37.98) and in black ($32.99).

Fans who preorder the vinyl will receive an exclusive presale code for tour tickets. The vinyl will ship June 20.
