Bryson Tiller has more music to give. The alt-R&B star took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 28) to unveil his plans to release a double album, Solace & The Vices.

The two-part project, which is “coming soon,” will further showcase Tiller’s duality as a person and artist. He described Solace as “somber, vulnerable, my own personal therapy session.” He added, “Saying things I wouldn’t normally say out loud. Inspired by the season my life changed 4ever, FALL.”

He will balance the deep introspection on Solace with “fun, energetic, bars on bars, summer vibes” on The Vices, where he will lean into his “other side.” It suggests that the latter part will be more hip-hop driven, while Solace will provide the soul.

Solace & The Vices will follow Tiller’s 2024 self-titled album, which included popular tracks like “Whatever She Wants,” “Outside,” “Calypso” and “Caio!”

Tiller’s upcoming double album may come as a surprise since he told Complex in 2024 that Bryson Tiller would be the last album he’d release “for a while” as he focuses on his video game design company, Trapsoul Games. The company’s first game, Brutal Industry, is scheduled to release in 2026.

“I would love for this one [Bryson Tiller] to be the last one for a while. I’ve been saying that regardless if it performs well or not,” Tiller told the publication. “This is probably gonna be my last one for a minute. I just want to take a hiatus because my No. 1 passion is video games.”

With Solace & The Vices on the way, some fans are still inquiring about Tiller’s long-awaited album Serenity that he previously teased. A fan commented under Tiller’s Instagram post, asking, “When we gonna get serenity, I’ve been a fan for 10 years now dawg since trapsoul & more.”

He responded, “I stopped working on that album back in 2019. That was when I cared a lot about what people thought about me and my talent, I needed to reach a point where it no longer mattered. That’s true serenity right there. i can assure you that I’ve finally found serenity so I will be dusting it off as soon as I get thru these projects (Solace, The Vices & Brutal Industry).”
