Jvck James is back. The rising R&B singer has tapped fellow London native Stormzy for his new single “Easier Done Than Said.” It was produced by Jackum and Papa Bear & His Cubs.
On the laid-back soul groove, Jvck James assures his love interest that he is a man of action, not just words. “Do you mind if I show you, babe? / It’s easier, yeah / For me, baby / It’s easier done than said,” he sings in a pitched-up voice.
“The song is about showing love through action, not talk,” explains James. “I think it’s the perfect opening chapter to a story yet to be told – and to be able to share this moment with Stormzy makes it even more special.”
“Easier Done Than Said” is James’ first song as a lead artist since his 2022 EP, On The Rocks. In the same year, he collaborated with Ambré on “I’m Baby,” which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart, and Dylan Sinclair on his “Open (Remix).”
James adds, “After two years away, this was the first song that made everything click again. It broke my writer’s block and reaffirmed my vision! Every choice came from feeling, not rules — my vocals are pitched up throughout, the harmonies arranged like organised chaos. It’s soulful, playful, and 100% me.”
