R&B newcomer Ebubé is on a mission to restore that feeling with his debut solo EP Slow Jam Szn.
Released via Lionbear Records, the six-track EP plays like a dreamy escape to lovers’ paradise, where romance is always in the forecast.
On the penultimate “Foresight,” Ebubé asks a potential partner, “Do you believe in love at the first sight? / ‘Cause I can see it have the foresight.”
“What Can I Do,” a beautiful piano ballad driven by curiosity, intentionality and assurance, finds him seeking to soothe his lover’s lingering agony from a past relationship. “You don’t need to think about the things you’ve been through / That’s before me and you / Tell me what can I do? / You ain’t gotta worry ’cause I’m something brand new,” he croons.

Speaking on the project’s inspiration, Ebubé notes, “I wanted to bring back slow, sensual but meaningful R&B. Slow Jam Szn comes from a very personal and vulnerable place. I want to create a world in which listeners can be free to really feel the emotions they may hide deep down.”
Slow Jam Szn was preceded by the singles “Where I Wanna Be,” “Lay With Me” and “Poison.”
Regarding the “Poison,” he explained, “What might at first appear to be bad for you could actually be exactly what you need. This song is about just that: a relationship that, even though others might have their judgments, that person is all you ever wanted.”
Ebubé may be familiar to some R&B fans, as he is a former member of the U.K. group No Guidnce. The group debuted in 2023 with their EP Is It a Crime?
In December 2024, Ebubé officially launched his solo journey with a double single — “New Chapter, Hello” and “For You, Love.” The latter track also appears on Slow Jam Szn.
