British-Colombian singer Sasha Keable has released her highly awaited EP Act Right via The Flight Club Records.

“This project comes from a place of betrayal and heartbreak,” says Keable. “I felt like if I didn’t make this music I might lose my mind. I made this project for myself, it’s exactly what I needed.”

Opening with “Feel Something,” Keable makes a desperate plea to escape emotional numbness, singing, “I just wanna feel something, something.”

Throughout Act Right, Keable doesn’t hold back from confronting those who did her wrong (“Act Right“) and giving them the ultimate goodbye (“Move It Along” featuring Leon Thomas).

Moments like the jazzy “Can’t Stop” and the soul-stirring “Why” capture that feeling that Keable was yearning for in the opening track.

On the latter ballad, co-produced by Charlie Pitts and Kent Azares, Keable sings about a love that feels surreal: “Who gave you permission to be this perfect? / I think you should go ahead and thank your mama for me / Lord knows what I did to deserve this.”

The BEAM-assisted “Work” drips with slow-burning intimacy as Keable recounts a steamy interaction. “Girl, it’s the way that you move when you pushing up on me from behind / Just like your drugs, you gave me high,” she sings. BEAM appears in verse two with naughty lines, “Open up your throat and use ya gag reflexes / Leave from here to your besties.”

Act Right follows Keable’s 2021 EP Intermission, which she told 10 Magazine was “fueled by a break-up.” She added, “It then turned into learning to love myself and that I’m best on my own. Plus, it’s also just about being happy being by myself.” Intermission included her Jorja Smith collaboration “Killing Me,” which they co-wrote with Benjamin Totten.

Keable spent 2024 warming up her fans with standalone singles, including “Hold Up,” “Auction” with Destin Conrad and “Take Your Time” featuring 6LACK, before dropping “Why” in November.

Since then, she has collaborated with Isaiah Falls on “Night Off” and the Eztra Collective on “Body Language.”

Keable will take Act Right on the road later this summer and fall. On Aug. 27, she will perform at Spotify and Live Nation Urban’s RNB X Live: The U.K. Sound at Irving Plaza in Brooklyn. Elmiene and Venna are also on the lineup.

In October, Keable will join Givēon on his Dear Beloved, The Tour.
