Leon Thomas has achieved a new milestone on the Billboard charts.
His breakout single “Mutt” climbs from No. 18 to No. 10 this week on the Hot 100, marking his first top 10 entry on the popular singles chart.
Thomas took to social media to celebrate his new feat. “Over a year later and I just recieved [sic] my first solo top 10 entry,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
He continued, “This would not have been possible without my PHOLKS, so thank you to every single one of you who has made this possible and let this be a sign to keep on working and chase your dreams!”

Produced by longtime collaborators D. Phelps and Freaky Rob, “Mutt” was released Aug. 9, 2024, as the lead single and title track to Thomas’ sophomore album. The song debuted at No. 100 on the Hot 100 dated Feb. 8, becoming Thomas’ first solo entry on the popular singles chart.
Since its release, “Mutt” has steadily climbed multiple Billboard charts. So far, it’s reached No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot R&B Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and R&B Digital Song Sales.
Earlier this month, “Mutt” was certified 2x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over two million equivalent units in the U.S.
Thomas, who recently dropped his PHOLKS EP, is set to embark on his massive Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour. The three-leg tour kicks off Thursday (Oct. 30) in Dallas at House of Blues. Alt-R&B singer Ambré will join him.
