Keri Hilson‘s three-act album is now complete. The Grammy-nominated singer has released We Need To Talk: Redemption via Create Music Group.

Redemption, which follows Drama and Love, includes the preceding installments, bringing the album’s total to 20 tracks. The final act, which consists of five tracks, picks up where the previous one left off.

“Who,” produced by Polow Da Don, is a plea to mend a fracturing relationship and avoid the agonizing reality of loneliness. “Boy, I don’t wanna do this / Don’t make me go through this right here,” she sings. On the stirring ballad “XO – My Gift Interlude,” Hilson laments: “My frustration lies in what we could’ve been.” Hilson closes the album on a positive note with the aptly titled “Thankful.” Here, she celebrates all she has endured and how it’s only made her a stronger person.

Even though Hilson released her third studio album in parts, she recommends listening to it in its entirety. “Now you can listen all the way through!” she wrote on Instagram. “Don’t skip an interlude or segue & see why people call it a ‘visual album.’ An audiobook, lol. But the story’s 100% true.”

Hilson ended her 15-year hiatus with We Need To Talk: Love, released April 18, 2025. The follow-up to 2011’s No Boys Allowed was preceded by the lead single “Bae.” In September, Hilson released part two, which she told Rated R&B was the easiest to write about.

“I had so many songs from the drama to choose from for some reason,” Hilson said. “I realized early as a songwriter that heartbreak is so much easier to write about because it’s real thoughts. This was no different.”

In the same interview, Hilson also reflected on how she is today versus during her last album cycle. “Keri Hilson then was still pretty young. She hadn’t fully come into her self-awareness and valuing herself properly. The Keri now has both of those things intact,” she said. “I am so different than the Keri then. I leap much quicker. I articulate, express and communicate. I’m fearless.”
