In the classic game of F**k, Marry, Kill, a person is given three names — usually public figures — and they choose who they would sleep with, spend their life with and who they would get rid of altogether. Tink‘s new album is titled after this game but it’s far from lighthearted. Instead, it dives beneath the surface to explore how those categories may present a haze in real life.

As she puts it, “This album lives in the gray areas…the late-night thoughts, the decisions you don’t always explain, the truth you can’t dress up. Sometimes love feels good, sometimes not so good, and sometimes it’s just real. F**k, Marry, Kill, is about choosing to experience all that love and life entail.”

The 15-track album, out via EMPIRE, includes the previously shared “Can We Talk?” featuring Bryson Tiller, “Emergency” and “Overrated.” Speaking on the latter track, she said, “‘Overrated’ is about recognizing your value, even when others overlook it. With this new album, I want people to feel seen, to feel understood, and to connect with the honesty in the music.”

Among the project’s highlights is “Non Negotiables,” a declaration of standards that a partner must meet before things go any further. “Are you dependable? / Can I rely on you? / Are you accountable? / I want the whole truth,” she sings.

F**k, Marry, Kill is the follow-up to Tink’s 2024 project, Winter’s Diary 5, the fifth installment of her mixtape series that began in 2012. Winter’s Diary 5 features Summer Walker, Jeremih, Janine and more.

Regarding WD5, she shared on social media, “If you know my story, you know I never had it easy in this industry. I seen a lot of people go against me … turn they back … play with my name etc… but no matter what – my supporters have NEVER left my side.”

She added, “This album is for US. If you’ve ever been through a struggle. A heartbreak .. Told you wasn’t worthy – let this be a sign to never stop. I fought so hard to get this album out… and tbh I’m STILL fighting; everyday. So Thank you to EVERYONE listening.”

Earlier this year, Tink earned her first RIAA platinum certification for her 2020 anthem “Bottom Bitch.”
