Kenyon Dixon’s new song “Morning After” is proof positive that the legacy of Prince remains in the fabric of contemporary R&B.
On the lusty, thrill-seeking cut produced by Marqus Curtis and Chris “CBlakk” Daniels, Dixon lets out yearning howls as he makes the sexual experience between him and his lover one to remember.
The single arrives with a music video, directed by Kourage, who fronted Dixon’s “Switch” video in May 2020. Watch it above.
Dixon started the year with the EP Expectations. It featured the Alex Isley-assisted title track and additional appearances from Jade Novah, Aaron Camper, and Avery Wilson.
One can suspect that Dixon is working on a follow-up project to satisfy his eager fanbase. He’ll get a chance to perform “Morning After” and any other new tracks when he joins Ledisi for The Wild Card Tour later this month.
