Remember R&B songstress Shareefa and her breakout hit “Need a Boss” featuring Ludacris? Produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, the song served as the lead single off her debut album, Point of No Return, which was released in October 2006.

With sassy, yet direct lyrics by Shareefa, she reminds ladies why they don’t need fake thugs in their lives but bosses. The song was much of a success, as it peaked at No.10 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.
We haven’t heard much from Shareefa since “Need a Boss” — besides her 2010 mixtape The Misunderstanding of Shareefa. Hopefully she plots another comeback.
