Even though loss is a natural part of life, that doesn’t make it any easier. Emerging Canadian singer Maurice Moore deals with the emotional aftermath of loss on his latest song, “Ain’t Easy.”
Elements of piano riffs, blaring 808s, and hi-hats are part of the woeful song that documents Moore’s loneliness and perseverance in the wake of fallen friends.
He sings, “I been through hell and all it’s fire you would never know / I’m asking God why he leave me on this earth alone / And I can’t lie, man, this shit is getting heavy though / I got the world up on my shoulders, but I never fold.”
Moore said on Instagram that “Ain’t Easy” is the beginning of a new era with more to come within the next few weeks.
The new track is the latest in a string of songs released from Moore this year. He dropped solo tracks like “Call Me Over” and “Tell Me It’s True.” He also teamed up with fiction. and Kingbnjmn for respective tunes.
Back in 2019, Moore released his project Destination Unknown. In an interview with Rated R&B, he broke down the project’s creative process, which involved his road to self-discovery.
