Eric Roberson has released a video for his all-star “Lessons (Remix)” featuring Anthony Hamilton, Raheem DeVaughn and Kevin Ross.
Directed by Steven “Oh Yeah Cool” Jon, the video finds the four R&B gents, dressed in black attire, performing the heartwarming tune in front of a colorful backdrop. In between shots, we see each vocalist sporting a casual look as they continue their performance.
During Hamilton’s Verzuz battle with Musiq Soulchild last month, he brought out Roberson, DeVaughn and Ross to perform the remix during his set.
“I’m super grateful for the opportunity to be on stage with vets in the game,” Ross shared with Rated R&B. “I’m a fan of both Musiq and Anthony, so to be there in person was crazy.”
Roberson wrote on Instagram, “What a night! What an honor. If you tuned it, my brother for life @anthonyhamiltonofficial invited us to sing “Lessons (Remix)” for the world to see. Thank you for allowing me this special opportunity to showcase this amazing song for the world to see. I’m forever grateful. And special thanks to my brothers @raheem_devaughn and @kevinrossmusic for sharing the stage too.”

Roberson released his “Lessons (Remix)” last October. “I’m honored to get their perspectives on the ups and downs of love and how it all leads us to where we are supposed to be,” he shared in a statement.
The original version of “Lessons” was released in June 2021. Roberson told Rated R&B the song was dedicated to his wife.
“I wrote ‘Lessons’ the morning of my 13th anniversary with my amazing wife. It reflects on what I went through and how all of it was needed to have what I have now,” he said.
“The hope is that ‘Lessons’ will help people appreciate what they have and be hopeful for what’s to come.”
“Lessons” is Roberson’s first single since his 2020 inspirational project, Hear From Here, which he worked on early on during the pandemic.
On April 1, Roberson will release his new album, Lessons.
The album will include both versions of lessons, as well as additional features from Mumu Fresh, Cory Henry and Pop. It’s available for pre-order on ericrobersonmusic.com.
