Beyoncé has surprised her fans with a new song, “My House.” She co-wrote and co-produced it with her frequent collaborator The-Dream.
“My House” follows Beyoncé’s previously shared “DELRESTO (ECHOES)” with Travis Scott and “America Has A Problem” remix featuring Kendrick Lamar.
“My House” was first previewed in the end credits of Renaissance World Tour: A Film by Beyoncé, which is in theaters now.
According to the logline, the film “is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft.”
Beyoncé launched her Renaissance World Tour in May at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. She performed in various European cities, before launching the North American leg in July at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The tour concluded in October in Kansas City, Missouri.
Beyoncé released her seventh album, Renaissance, on July 28, 2022, via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 332,000 equivalent units.
By November 2022, the album was certified platinum for selling over one million equivalent units.
Renaissance won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album at the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony held earlier this year. Beyoncé made history as the first Black woman to win a Grammy in that category, which first launched in 2005.
At the same Grammy ceremony, she took home trophies for Best R&B Song (“Cuff It”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Plastic Off The Sofa”) and Best Dance/Electronic Recording (“Break My Soul”). All three songs appear on Renaissance.
The platinum-selling “Break My Soul” was released as the album’s lead single. It peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 2022. It marked Queen Bey’s first solo No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 in over 14 years. She previously topped the chart in 2008 with “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
