K.Michelle has been putting in some serious leg work to promote her debut album “Rebellious Soul.” On Friday (Aug. 2nd), the R&B songstress made her return to the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. to perform before a sold-out crowd. Before taking the main stage, the “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” star chatted with Aladdin from WPGC 95.5 on her upcoming moves.
Sporting now black hair, Michelle shared details about her upcoming album, which will only feature one collaboration from rapper Meek Mill ( “My Life”). She also revealed label-head Young Jezzy will be on the official remix of “V.S.O.P” and why country stars like the Dixie Chicks and The Judds taught her the art of songwriting.
She also gave some insight on her upcoming reality show on Vh1 and why Atlantic calls her a “career artist.”
