Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire launched their co-headlining tour in late summer 2023.

Later that fall, Richie embarked on Dancing on the Sand, an immersive three-night Bahamas experience at Atlantis Paradise Island. It featured additional performances by Sheryl Crowl, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Vanessa Carlton, Megan Moroney and Jake Wesley Rogers.

In 2022, Richie was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Harry Belafonte, Dolly Parton, Eminem, Carly Simon, and Jimmy Iovine, among others.

In the same year, Richie also received the Icon Award at the American Music Awards, where he was honored by Stevie Wonder and Ari Lennox.

Richie will return to American Idol for its 7th season on ABC (22nd overall), which premieres Feb. 18.
