R&B sibling group WanMor has released their new single, “The One,” via Mary J. Blige’s Beautiful Life Productions/300 Entertainment.
On the boastful track, produced by Hitmaka, Tariq Beats and Paul Cabbin, the four members express the exhilaration of praising a young lady who stands out from the rest.
While WanMor understands that the special someone who has caught their eye may be of interest to others, they are persistently making a strong case for their affection.
“I know you got a few options / But, you just became the main topic for me,” they sing.
With cuffing season on the horizon, “The One” further positions WanMor as a needed voice in the genre with a focus on keeping love at the forefront.
“The One” is WanMor’s third song release of the year and their second original. It follows their band’s charming cover of Tevin Campbell‘s 1991 classic “Alone With You,” which was released in March, and “Baby,” their initial preview of new music from February.
After its release, “Alone With You” became a top-add song at urban radio. According to Mediabase, it currently holds the No. 31 slot on the format.
According to press materials, WanMor, who was nominated for Best New Artist at the BET Awards for a second consecutive year in June, is preparing for the release of their debut album. The title and release date of WanMor’s new album are yet to be announced.
In 2023, WanMor released their self-titled EP, featuring the singles “Every Pretty Girl In The City” and its King Combs-assisted remix, as well as “Mine.”
