Mary J. Blige is taking over the airwaves. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has teamed with SiriusXM to launch Mary J. Blige Radio.

The pop-up channel, hosted and curated by Blige, arrives in celebration of Women’s History Month. The show is available now through April 2 on the SiriusXM app and in cars on channel 79 from March 18 through March 24.

According to press materials, Mary J. Blige Radio will feature the R&B icon’s signature hits, fan-favorite album cuts and live performances that chronicle her flourishing 30-year career.

Additionally, the station will also include music from artists who have influenced Blige in some capacity, such as Anita Baker, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Usher, among others.

Blige, who has a track record of supporting new talent, will also play music by the new generation of R&B artists, including Coco Jones, Ella Mai, Jazmine Sullivan, Lucky Daye, Muni Long, Summer Walker, Victoria Monét, and more.

Music aside, Blige will also share exclusive stories and insights about music. In a preview clip, Blige opened up about how important her fans have been through her ups and downs.

“I always say, without them there is nothing,” Blige stated. “When I reached out to them on the My Life album, I said, ‘I’m going through hell. I need somebody to love me.’ I was begging for this, begging for that, begging for something to love me other than myself. They reached out and said, ‘Mary, we are going through it, and we are healing too.'”

She continued, “These are the things my fans say to me, ‘Well, you’re helping me to just be me.’ If it weren’t for them, there would be none of this. So my fans are like extremely important. They’re number one when it comes to this right here. And so I’m grateful, you know, to have my fans. I’m thankful to God for people that actually are paying attention to me because there was a time in my life where I didn’t think I was gonna be anything at all.”

In a separate clip, Blige, who was inducted into the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, discussed what that experience meant for her. “Being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, it had to be one of the most amazing moments in my career because I have lived through so much, so many things that I didn’t even think I was gonna live through or make it through.”

Blige is currently on her headlining For My Fans Tour with special guests Ne-Yo and Mario. The tour, which was recently extended with four new dates, concludes April 27 at Kaseya Center in Miami.

The tour supports Blige’s 15th album, Gratitude, released Nov. 15, 2024, via Mary Jane Productions and 300 Entertainment. The album includes her No. 1 hits “Breathing” featuring Fabolous and “You Ain’t the Only One.”

Tune into Mary J. Blige Radio on SiriusXM.
