Jon B. is back. The R&B veteran has released his new album, Waiting on You, via Vibezelect.
The Grammy-nominated singer’s first album in a decade was preceded by “Understand” featuring Donell Jones, the title track featuring Tank and “Natural Drug.” The project also features R&B songbird Alex Isley and rap heavyweight Rick Ross.
“People often expect new music to sound like the old material, but I’ve been living life, gathering inspiration from every high, low, and in-between moment. That’s where the creativity comes from,” says Jon B.
He continues, “It’s about creating music that feels authentic and has depth. It takes time to build something meaningful, and I’ve approached this project with a lot more intention, pouring every bit of my soul into it.”
Waiting on You is the follow-up to Jon B.’s 2012 album, Comfortable Swagg. In the following year, he treated his fans to B-Sides Collection, a compilation of unreleased tracks recorded from 2001 to 2012.
Jon. B will be supporting Waiting on You on his Pick Me Up Tour with special guest Shae Universe.
The intimate tour kicks off April 11 at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. From there, he will visit New Orleans, Dallas, Houston and more. Additional tour dates will be announced soon.
