The original members of Day26 — Willie, Que, Brian, Robert and Mike — will reunite on stage at RnB Spotlight this Sunday, January 26, at SOBs in New York City.
The group announced their plans for a reunion tour in late fall 2013. “The time has finally come and it’s official. Promoters, radio stations, bloggers, magazines be a part of this amazing reunion that the fans been begging for “DAY26 THE REUNION TOUR,” Day26 said in a press statement.
“Featuring all 5 members of the group & Donnie Klang & DeAngelo Redman/members from making of the band 4..All together on 1 Stage for the world to enjoy.”
Apparently, Day26 went on a hiatus so that members could focus on their solo careers. “I wouldn’t say we’re broken up,” Brian told Rated R&B.
“I definitely would say we’re just taking our time right now. I feel like at this point and time in our career as Day26, everybody has grown so much. We’re not just recording artists. We act, we produce, we write. I think this time is for us to kind of spread our wings and grow a little bit more. I wouldn’t count out another Day26 album.”
We’re hoping to hear about an official itinerary for Day26’s reunion tour. They have certainly been missed.
