After spending two weeks at No. 4, Beyoncé’s self-titled visual album drops to No. 5, selling 48,000 copies this week, totaling 1,668,000 albums sold to date.
As reported earlier this week, Bruno Mars’ “Unorthodox Jukebox” climbs from No.18 to No.7 after his Super Bowl halftime show performance. Mars’ sophomore album pushes 42,000 copies this week and now totals 1,967,000 copies sold since December 7, 2012. Meanwhile, his four-year-old debut album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” rises from No.82 to No.19.
Justin Timberlake’s and John Legend’s new albums move up one slot. Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2” skips from No.25 to No.24. Legend’s “Love In The Future” climbs from No.35 to No.34.
In its eighth week, R. Kelly’s “Black Panties” album slips down 16 slots to No. 38. Jhené Aiko’s “Sail Out” EP falls from No.40 to No.48.
K. Michelle’s debut album “Rebellious Soul” re-enters at No.78 this week (Peak: No. 2). Meanwhile, Ariana Grande’s debut effort “Yours Truly” dips from No.65 to No.81.
After performing “Another Star” at this year’s Grammys, Stevie Wonder’s 1976 release “Songs in the Key of Life” re-enters at No.99 this week. The song peaked at No.1 on October 8, 1976.
Billboard Hot 100
Last month, it was revealed that no African-American artist topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2013. It was the first since the chart originated in 1958. However, Beyoncé, Jason Derulo and Pharrell hope to change that as their latest singles race to the No.1 spot.
Yoncé has the “BeyHive” “Drunk In Love” with her Detail-produced record since it leaps from No.13 to No.2 this week. She has the closest chance to scoring a No.1.
