With his 2017 album, Coming of Age, still in rotation, Sammie adds his own “Taste” to Tyga’s smash hit featuring Offset.
Keeping the beat intact, the Florida titian makes his version of the popular song to satiate fans who’ve been in a drought for his signature crooning. Sammie opts to write new lyrics to capitalize on his resounding sensuality.
“I’m a Pisces, I go deep / I’m a church-boy but imma freak,” Sammie boldly declares as he slides into his own verse unabashedly.
Fans who are worried that Sammie didn’t bring his runs out to play, should rest assured that his propensity to go through the scales are here in fine form. An interview with Rated R&B back in September of 2018 yielded bits of information regarding his current quest in music.
Speaking to us, he revealed, “ I’m first and foremost catering to my generation. I would be a fool to abandon those who made Sammie, Sammie. I’m doing and delivering what they know me for. I feel like it’s so honest and so pure that the new generation — who don’t know who Sammie is, never heard a record — would gravitate to it.”
