Have you ever loved someone so much that it made you cry? Lizzo has the perfect song — “Cuz I Love You.” On the bluesy track, Lizzo croons about the feelings of finally finding love.
“I thought that I didn’t care / I thought I was love-impaired / But baby, baby I don’t know what I’m gonna do,” she sings before belting out, “I’m crying cause I love you.”
“Cuz I Love You” arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day. The heartfelt tune follows Lizzo’s upbeat single “Juice,” which she performed on Ellen and The Tonight Show.“Cuz I Love You” is also the title track to Lizzo’s forthcoming album that will release on April 19 via Atlantic Records.
Along with her new song release, the Detroit native also shared the accompanying music video. The old-fashioned clip shows Lizzo at a prison serenading black men. Her dynamic performance of the raw number ultimately brings them to tears toward the end.
