Love is love. A week after releasing his new single “Purple Emoji” featuring J. Cole, Ty Dolla $ign shares the accompanying video.
Instead of going for the obvious and plastering the emoji throughout the video, director Olivia Rose and Ty choose to let couples from all ages, races and relationship types put their love on display for the world. Ty and his co-star J. Cole make minimal appearances, letting each of these beautiful expressions of love steal the show.
“I wanted to stay true to the lyrics and create a video that showed real couples, real friends, real siblings and the tiniest of actions of intimacy they share,” said Rose in a statement. “I think the outcome is a video that can resonate with all people from all walks of life and is representative of the full spectrum of love.”
“Purple Emoji” is the lead single from Ty’s forthcoming album that he’s currently “finishing up. ” It will also serve as the follow up to Beach House 3 and MihTy. The album will be filled with “a lot more serious songs” and turn up records as well.
