If your turn-up isn’t always on 100, partying with Ty Dolla $ign might be out of your league. The R&B crooner is having the time of his life in his “Hottest in the City” video featuring Juicy J and Project Pat.
Going down in a neon-colored strip club, Ty and his hip-hop homies are blowing trees, throwing back drinks, and getting an eye full with all the thick baddies around. The flickering of distorted effects throughout this lit visual shot by David Camarena match perfectly with the fellas twisted energy.
The video for “Hottest in the City” comes a month its dual audio release with “Hot Girl Summer” with Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. The latter anthem is blazing urban radio, breaking into the top 10 earlier this week.
As for Ty’s own material, “Hottest in the City” and “Purple Emoji,” his J-Cole assisted track, haven’t caused a dent on the charts – yet. The hitmaker isn’t worried, though. His main focus for his follow-up to 2017’s Beach House 3 is giving “people some good music to listen to—something that sounds different from everybody else’s shit.”
