After much anticipation, Sinéad Harnett has unleashed her debut album, Lessons in Love.
The 12-track LP takes listeners on a journey through the British singer’s heart as she shares different gems she’s picked up from love.
The project includes collaborations with Gallant (“Pulling Away”) and GRADES (“If You Let Me”).
“The more I love, the more I learn about its magic, its importance and its lessons,” Harnett told Complex in August. “In every song, there is a lesson. But most importantly, in every song, there is love. I never planned the way this album would take shape and I didn’t know the title or concept until I’d chosen the songs. Up until now, I hadn’t even realized what my purpose is as a writer. But now, standing in front of this project I see that I’ve done everything out of love.”
Harnett went on Twitter to share a heartfelt message to her fans for supporting her first official project.
“I couldn’t have released my album today without you,” she wrote. “Thank you for the messages today. For listening, for believing in me. The younger me can’t believe any of this is happening. It’s been the most tearful day. The struggle & all the pain in my life has been worth this moment.”
On October 26, Harnett will kick off her North American tour in Los Angeles. The 10-city string of shows will wrap up on November 13 in Brooklyn.
