Trevor Jackson kept his word. The singer/actor has released a trippy music video for “Tell Me” featuring Lil Yachty off his Rough Drafts Pt. 2 album.
Co-directed by Director Hyce, Jackson takes center stage to serve up some killer dance moves. As he struts around on the LED dance floor, archived clips of his career highlights flash in the background.
The visual for “Tell Me” is one of three new videos that Jackson promised to put out this year. He still has “Tell You the Truth” and “When She’s Around” on the list.
Jackson, who is filming season three of grown-ish, is gearing up to release Rough Drafts Pt. 3. He revealed to Rated R&B that the completed album is “all about a breakup.”
“I feel like when you’re young, people kind of underplay the effect that a breakup can have on you,” he said. “I think that it’s like trauma, you know? It’s hard for men to access that part of themselves — the sensitive part and admitting that they’re in pain. I think this album gives a good inside look at how a lot of men feel when they go through breakups.”
