Elusive singer-songwriter Summer Walker is serving elegant charm in her cover of “I’m Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby” on the Birds of Prey: The Album soundtrack.
The Atlanta-native puts her own spin on the Barry White R&B hit, giving it a modern take while keeping the song’s original allure.
“Eager and eager, yeah / To feel your lips upon my face / Please him and please him / Any time or any place,” Walker croons.”
A pleasant nod to classic R&B, this is not the first time Walker has shown appreciation for the music of yesterday. She posted a clip of Stephanie Mills and Teddy Pendergrass singing their cover hit “Feel the Fire” with the caption “no AUTOTUNE days.”

Birds of Prey: The Album has been lauded by critics for its use of female artists. The soundtrack features Walker, Normani, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, Doja Cat and more.
Walker dropped her latest single “Something Real” with fellow R&B star Chris Brown back in 2019. Her debut album Over It was also released in 2019.
