Tinashe spread “Superlove” in 2016, now she is feeling like a superstar on her new track “Rascal.” The accompanying visual can be watched above.
Produced by Sage the Gemini, “Rascal (Superstar)” finds the 27-year-old boasting about the finer things in life. The song was reportedly recorded during her sessions for her shelved album, Nashe.
“Money, cash, clothes, fast cars / Fast night, dash playin’ with the / Nascars Money, cash, clothes, fast cars / I’m in the Valley chillin’ with the bad bro,” she sings on the chorus.
Tinashe tweeted the meaning behind “Rascal” moments before its release. “#Rascal is a braggadocios bad bitch anthem that we all deserve, TBH,” she wrote.
“Rascal (Superstar)” is the California native’s first solo single since releasing her critically-acclaimed project, Songs For You.
Earlier this week, she appeared on THEY.’s guitar-laden single “Play Fight” from their upcoming project, The Amanda Tape.
