It’s about time. After five years since the release of their 2015 album Child Support, legendary R&B group and Texas natives H-Town have returned on the music scene with a new single titled “Green Light 713″ featuring fellow Houstonian rapper Lil’ Flip. It is a remix of the group’s previously released song that appeared on their last LP.
“We feel it’s a big song that the song didn’t get a chance to hear the first time around. So we’ve repackaged it, as a new version, featuring Lil’ Flip,” Shazam Conner of H-Town tells Rated R&B. “We also wanted to make some available for the fans, until our new EP Date Night comes out.”
On the silk sheet slow jam, with nuances of the city’s infamous chopped and screwed sound, H-Town are at control in the bedroom, delivering tender vocals about getting it on with the permission of their desired lovers.
In his fire verse, Lil’ Flip sets the mood off right with Joe before he puts in work with his lady on the bedroom floor.
“Green Light 713” is the first single from their upcoming EP, Date Night, due out later this year on So, Let’s Talk and H-Town’s own imprint H-Town Music.
