Kem is hoping for a second run at the top of the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart with the video release of “Live Out Your Love.”
The Gerald Plaid Isaac-directed short film’s storyline is an extra-romantic marriage proposal that involves an on-screen couple who are head over heels for each other. It begins with the blindfolded bride-to-be ushered into a flowered ballroom by her lover for the proposal of a lifetime.
Once she accepts to be his forever, the couple transforms into graceful dancers as Kem pours love into the air with his buttery vocals.
The video for “Live Out Your Love” coincides with the love ambassador’s solo rendition of the song. Both the lone and duet version featuring Toni Braxton appear on his latest album, Love Always Wins. The LP was named one of the top 30 best R&B albums of 2020 by Rated R&B.
“Live Out Your Love” is nominated for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Traditional) at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards. It also peaked at number one on the Adult R&B Songs chart at the top of the year. It marked his seventh hit overall on this chart.
