R&B Queen Mary J. Blige joins forces with Cricket Wireless as the two parties participate with Susan G. Komen for the Cure during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to educate women on the epidemic while raising funds for breast cancer research and screenings.
“An alarming number of these women are dying, and we can help to improve their chances of survival,” Blige said.
“I am working with Susan G. Komen and Cricket during October to help inform women about powerful early detection measures, such as getting a mammogram. Please join me in supporting this worthy cause, and let’s find a cure.”
Through Verve Records, Mary J. Blige and Cricket will donate $10,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in San Diego County.
Mary J. Blige will also be featured on Cricket’s Muve Music service for fans to download her music for a special music and social media campaign, running until November 3.
