As the Christmas season continues to shape up nicely, we spread some holiday cheer with this week’s Throwback Thursday song “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.”
The holiday tune was first introduced in 1934 on the Eddie Cantor radio show. Nearly 40 years later, the track was featured on The Jackson 5’s first and only holiday album, “Jackson 5 Christmas Album.”
Led by the young vocals of Michael Jackson and backed by the harmonies of his brothers, the R&B-infused Christmas carol is one you can dance to as you decorate your Christmas tree.
The song has been covered by the likes of The Pointer Sisters, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber. However, we love what The Jackson 5 did with the classic tune.
