Up and coming British soul singer Daley is building an impressive resume by working with big names in the world of R&B/Soul music.
During a recent interview with LifeandTimes.com, the “Alone Together” singer spoke positively about collaborating with veteran hit-makers Pharrell and Questlove. “I had the opportunity when I was in LA to work with Pharrell, and when I was in New York, I worked with Questlove,” said Daley. “Pharrell is just a musician. He’s a professional, man, he really understands the way it works. It was the same with Questlove. I got to appreciate his music firsthand and it was great to have him involved.”
When asked about the success of his US single “Alone Together,” featuring Marsha Ambrosius, Daley noted that the former Floetry singer took a chance by recording a song with him, while he was an unknown artist. “I don’t think we really realized how much people would connect to it. It took on a life of its own. It’s one of my favorite songs that I’ve written and a massive stepping stone in my career.”
