Crooner John Legend delivers a spectacular, touching performance at the CMT Awards Wednesday night.
John Legend gave all of himself on the CMT Awards stage leaving the audience and fellow artists speechless. Joined by country singer Jennifer Nettles and acoustic guitarist Hunter Hayes, the performance produced side effects of teary eyes and goosebumps.
The duet between Nettles and Legend made the song free of any genre classification as the record became far-reaching. The performance started off with the two sitting on stools, but the power of the performance lifted them to rise to their feet singing their hearts out.
The performance ended with the two sweetly harmonizing the last notes of the song with the crowd making a standing ovation and applause. After their wow duet, the two artists happily hugged and kissed on the cheek.
