2014 Soul Train Awards Nominations Revealed, Chris Brown Leads

Is this the year of Chris Brown? The R&B/pop star leads the 2014 Soul Train Awards nominations with seven nods. Breezy is up for Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Song of the Year (“Loyal” featuring Tyga and Lil’ Wayne) and Video of the Year (“New Flame” featuring Usher and Rick Ross), to name a few.

Beyoncé is the second runner-up with six nominations including Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and Album of the Year (“Beyonce”). Next is Pharrell Williams with five nominations including Best R&B/Soul Male Artist and Song of the Year (“Happy”).

The 2014 Soul Train Awards will take place Friday, November 7 in Las Vegas and will broadcast simultaneously on Centric and BET on Sunday, November 30 at 8 p.m. EST.
