Estelle and Mary J. Blige showed their support for Queen Latifah and the cast of HBO’s upcoming biopic Bessie on Wednesday evening at the New York screening.
Glowing in a cropped fitted white cardigan and pencil skirt, Blige nailed her youthful look. Meanwhile, Estelle spiced up the red carpet in a sleeveless black top and oriental patterned flare skirt.
Bessie stars Queen Latifah, who portrays bisexual blues legend Bessie Smith. The film chronicles the singer’s rise to fame and personal difficulties before her sudden death at the age of 43.
Bessie will premiere on Saturday, May 16 at 8 p.m. on HBO.
